"The date began as an event called by the Spirit of Tower Hold. The national Boggan Faire had just been held in Crossed Roads and the Spirit wanted to celebrate boggans and creativity. She made a special room that looked like a lucious garden for all to gather in - there was even a swamp for Big. Many boggans who were travelling home stopped by the gathering to eat, drink, craft, and talk.
The afternoon was broken by the appearance of a knight from High King David's Court, Dame Marie Chantal du Lac ap Beaumayn. She told the gathering that in order to stave off a Winter, High King David, along with all of the monarchs of Concordia, was declaring that unseelie fae must be registered and identified, and that all unseelie landed nobility must relinquish their lands by November 1st. Anyone with suspected Shadow Court connections, would be questioned. Members of House Leanhaun were being taken into custody for questioning. Finally Dame Marie told Virgil that his future wife and mother of his child had been taken into custody for questioning. After all, her behavior in the past few years, what with Blooming Valley and sacrificing her freehold, and thus is suspect of possible unsavory affiliations.
After Dame Marie left the fae in the gathering they talked about how to cope with the registration of the unseelie. Big encouraged them to talk with High King David. During this time other fae came in with reports of violence inflicted upon them by agents of the crown. Finally and group of changers and fae alike organized to go to the King. The group was: Charlie Sunshine; Big; Dru; Carson; and Billy. Charlie Sunshine was to be the leader and wore Elphaba's mark as well as other protections provided by different fae including Baroness Marigold.
By the blessings of the Dreaming the five came to to Tara-Nar. Once outside Tara-Nar they were let in after introductions by Charlie. They were then taken to a waiting room where a blindfolded Beaumayne noble touched each of them to determine if they were dangerous to David. After touching all of them, the noble left the room. She seemed to have decided that they would not be a danger to David as the five were then brought before High King David in his throne room. They were surrounded by hundreds of knights with all kinds of weapons.
Charlie led the discussion but all members helped. David listened and in the end said that he would wish to speak with them again. He gave the group the name of the Blooming Valley Five (BV5) and gave each of them a golden coin they could use to contact him. They were then sent home.
When the BV5 came home they reported what they had learned to waiting fae in Blooming Valley. Many had begun to make plans to deal with the upcoming changes in Concordia.
Samhain is just around the corner."
